wow this sounds like fun! It's great to see how everyone has improved over time, amazing
My first, official decorated cake was 10 months ago! (time does fly) since then I've been learning alot and having lots of fun.. and stress lol. I've yet to learn how to cover cakes with fondant, I'm covering them with either buttercream or chantilly but soon I'll venture into fondant!
So here are my "first" cake and a collage of a few of the last ones I've made :)
(Please forgive about the logo on the picture, I don't have the original one anymore just the one I used for my facebook page, hope it's ok.)

I'm not a cake decorator by trade, although I grew up watching my grandma do cakes before it was a "thing". Most of the cakes I do are just regular cakes, although I do try to "fancy" them up a bit. The sheet cake was my first attempt at doing a decorated cake. It was a cake for a group of ladies who volunteer at our local historical society, all celebrating their birthdays. When I delivered it, everyone who saw it was well pleased.
This was a naked cake replica of a cake topper for an anniversary.

The second 2 are what I did recently. I'm very happy doing cakes and people are asking me to do their bday cakes even though I'm 12.
Ok so I made this for my best friends bday party ( she was turning 12 just like me (: ) after watching YouTube videos I wanted to try myself and here you go!

This is my first one, though I did it in a class with excellent direction. I've also done sculpting/painting for years and years so I had a sort of solid background for working with my hands & sculpting.

Ok so my first post actually sent backwards so the one that says Ella is actually my first. Hope you like them!

@Craftycookies , same thing happened to me so I understood you perfectly. All of your cakes, even the first, look wonderful - so straight and professional looking. Congratulations, young lady. You are going to be a force with which to reckon!

@CandyMakerMom , they look pretty and I see why your friends enjoyed your first cake. It is beautiful and looks delicious!

Craftycookie.....wow, very good work - especailly for your age. May I make one suggestions? It looks like you are putting your cake directly on a cakeboard. The board should be covered 1st. Use things like plastic table cloth, tacky (in that it has sticky on the back) shelf liner, freezer paper & fondant are some choices. I like how you have gotten your layers very level :)
