Hi, I've beej reading online that loads of bakers would freeze buttercream into cubes to make it easy for them when they need to prepare cake samples. I was wondering if anyone had luck with that or if it changes the texture of the buttercream.

also, if anyone can please share some tips on easy ways to prepare cake samples

I will put leftover buttercream in a ziplock freezer bag, spread it out to fill the bag and get rid of any air and then put the flavor and date on the bag before putting it in the freezer. A day or two before I need to use it I will let it thaw in the fridge and then either snip the corner off the bag and pipe from there or put in a bowl and whip with a spatula before applying to whatever I intent to. Does not seem to change the taste or texture at all!
