I'm not sure if this is supposed to be in decorating or in sugar work. However I am making gumpaste roses for a wedding cake. The cake that inspired the bride is this one.

Filler Flowers

I think it's pretty but I think that a few filler flowers might make it even more beautiful.   It feels a little two-dimensional to me.   Besides babies breath which I know the bride will not want what kind of filler flowers would go with these roses?Filler Flowers

Maybe a few 5 petal cupped flowers like these in white?   http://cdn001.cakecentral.com/gallery/2015/02/900_37DY57_lambeth-fair-entry.jpg

Apple &/or orange blossoms are easy to make also. And maybe a few small daisies.   Then there is always swirled drop flowers.  All can be made ahead of time and placed as needed w/in the roses to give a bit of color - actually a bit of white ones I think would work best.

Personally, I like the modern look of this design.  If I wanted to "flesh out" the flowers, I would add a few black rose leaves, not too many.
