Bumble Bee Cake TopperI have been searching for days on how to make a cake topper similar to this one but with no luck so far. I'm not sure if the head is fondant or a covered styrofoam ball. I want one that sits up and the only instructions have been either a flat or laying bee. This is for my great niece 1st birthday and her nickname is Bailey Bee. I need to get it made by tomorrow night as it will be buzzing to Oklahoma with my brother on Saturday. Nothing like waiting till the last minute to ask for help.

Depends on how big you want the end piece to be.  I'd make it all from fondant - probably stiffened some w/Tylose.   Just make a cone shape for the body - what would probably be perfect is a mini doll skirt pan shape, then hollow out some of the middle to lighten the weight & use less fondant, a golf ball size ball for the head.  The wings & pink heart cut w/aspic cutters and the 1 hand shaped.  Hope that helps some.

This is a cake topper and not a clay charm? It has a pin sticking out, but I saw a tutorial for something similar (done in fondant) on YouTube a few days ago.

It's so cute. I love the eyes! I tried to message you and link the video, but it didn't work so I sent the name of the channel and video.

Last night i tried to follow Angela Morrison baby shower bee which is adorable but it's speeded up and most of the time i couldn't really see what she was doing or it was out of camera shot. I just gave up but I have an idea that I will eventually work on.
