We are working hard on getting NJ up to speed and adopting a Cottage Law. So, what State are you from and do they require inspection? If they do require inspection, is it modified to a home facility? Anyone have a sample of an inspection checklist from your state?

Louisiana has no inspection in its Cottage Food Law (established in 2014). The only requirement is visible labeling on the product stating that it was NOT produced in a licensed or regulated facility.
Im in Utah just starting the process so they haven't inspected my house yet. Here are the requirements they sent me. You also have to have your food handlers. You don't need to label food that is made to order and the client needs to pick up from you, like cakes. I do need to have a list of ingredients available for my customer if they ask.
