So I am working on some gumpaste flowers for a cake competition I am in and I'm working with a brand of gumpaste I've never used before- Matta. The gumpaste is hard and dries too quickly. I have worked with gumpaste before and never had this problem. Is there something I can do to the gumpaste or add into it to make it easier to work with? Or is it just a lost cause? I'm having to kneed it before I make each petal and even then it's cracking before I can even add it to the flower! Any advice is super appreciated!!

You can try adding some "solid fat" (Crisco, shortening) to it.
