Hi

I've made some buttercream i used:

butter, milk, vanllia extract, icing sugar.

My problem is that in my rush i didnt shive my icing sugar so its got lovely lumps of icing sugar in it...How do i get rid of them? I'm guessing to just use it for my own use and make a new batch for the customer haha. But if anyone as i way to fix it brillant haha

I never sieve my icing sugar, I always beat my buttercream for at least 6-7 minutes.

Try popping it back in the mixer and giving it a god mix

Hope it helps!

Yep.  Put it in the mixer bowl, turn it on and go take a break while it runs.

Definately as the others said, mix it on low for up to 10 minutes.

If the lumps are big, I'll usually smoosh them against the side of the bowl with my rubber spatula, then, as everyone else said, turn the mixer back on and let it do its thing :)

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you! I was going to say to let the mixer run for a bit (like, walk away and come back to check). I am one who always sifts my sugar (even granulated). I like to see that others don't sift and do not have any issues. I enjoy exploring the differences in how we all do things. Anyway, I'm just very happy your buttercream's working out! All the best!!!
