I am new to working with chocolate so I have a lady that wants me to paint chocolate easter eggs.  Is it possible to decorate/paint on molded chocolate with royal icing without it beading up or flaking off?   Is it possible to paint on molded chocolate/A-peel chocolate bunnies with royal icing.  Since I have ten mini cakes to decorate, I was also wanting to pipe scrolls on some of the chocolate/A-peel eggs.

Also wanted to see if I cover rice krispie molded eggs with melted A-peels (pour over/dip) and then paint on them with royal icing...has anyone done this?  I can't find any pics or references by search...Thanks

i can't remember -- probably i've used royal on chocolate -- at least i can picture seeing chocolate panoramic easter eggs with royal decor -- as far as painting it -- probably --

the crux of your question is that you are new to working with chocolate -- so you need to make some royal and make some choco molds and see how you do with it --

best to you

Many yrs ago Frances Kuyper (THE original Cake Lady) taught us that if you spray molded choco w/one of those cans of spray used on cookie sheet etc then very lightly wipe it w/a paper towel so there are no bubbles you can paint &/or airbrush on it.    YOu should be able to decorate w/royal icing w/o a problem.   K8 is right - you should take the time to practice and see how it goes for you.
