I have an order for a Dark Side of the Moon cake. It needs to be 6 different colored layers, no separators between the layers. I need advice on how to assemble it so that it will be stable. TIA

For every 4" of height you should put a cake circle and supports/dowels.  IF you don't want the board to show, use one 1" to 2" smaller than the cake is ie: 8" layer of cake on a 6" or 7" board.  You probably will have to cut down the board unless you can get boards in odd sizes.
