Has anyone ever tried to thin Rolkem super Gold Luster dust and put it in an airbrush? I have to cover an 8 inch round cake completely in Gold and I want to make sure it has a nice even layer of color. I saw someone on "Evil Cake Genius" (Oh how I love their work lol) use a luster dust thinned with vodka for gold airbrush. But I am not sure if it will work with the Rolkem and its too late to go out and buy something new that will get to me on time. Many Thanks!

I don't know if I would use rolkelm on cake. I thought it wasn't an approved edible item.

@ypierce82 ‍ It is going to be a dummy tier. Top part of the cake will be a 6 inch real cake in all white. She just wants to look fancy lol.

Of course lol I saw a tutorial on youtube where it was used in an airbrush with no problems. I'll go see if I can find it and send it to you.

Never mind. She used something else for airbrushing, and the rolkem was painted on other stuff. Sorry!

No worries. I saw a video using the paint on method and they looked like they got it coat pretty even. I think I will give it a shot. relaxed

Never heard of Rolkem but for the most part anything other than colors specially made for the airbrush will eventually, if not immeadately ruin an airbrush.

That was my first thought @kakeladi ‍ I think I will just stick to painting it on. Wish me luck! smile
