Hey everyone!! Out of curiosity, what was the highest number of cakes have you produced in one weekend? I recently did 5! it was for three clients, but a total of 5 different cakes.  I did a 2 tier (6" & 10" round) fall harvest birthday cake, a princess sheet cake, a 6" round Jedi smash cake, a 6" round fox smash cake and a 12" round fox cake.  It was insane and I will never do it again!  I'm still pretty new at this and so when I had a new customer ask for cakes, and then I got two calls from return customers, I hated turning anyone away!  Want to keep those return customers returning and the new ones coming in... I started working early in the week with the baking and buttercream making, but still ended up being awake all night Friday in order to finish. They all turned ok well, so that's a plus!  So I guess this is my second question, how do you chose between new customers and returning customers? Do you use a first come, first serve system? Thanks!

I once did 5 *wedding* cakes along w/a couple of small b'day ones when I had my bakery - some 15 rys ago.  NEVER again!   But in the end it did all work out fine.

My record was 7 wedding cakes.  It was insane.  I never again took on that much work in one weekend.
