I am looking for icing and filling that can sit out for 4plus hours. Read threads on Bettercream and Pastry Pride. My local GFS carries Bettercream in quart size. Does anyone know how many cups of whipped frosting I can get from a quart of Bettercream?. I am frosting and filling a 4 layer 8in and 4 layer 12in round. 2 layers will be filled with fruit perserve and one layer of Bettercream mixed with instant pudding and milk (recipe thread http://www.cakecentral.com/forum/t/601193/bettercreme-fun ) Cakes will be stacked. It will be my first time using bettercream to frost and fill. Want to make sure I have enough. Appreciate any insight.
If memory serves me right you will need 2 quarts. One should be enough for the 8" with some left over, then the other qt plus the leftover will be more than enough for the 12". It depends a bit on how thick you make the filling and of covering the cake.
