To decorate those fall cakes here are some decorating combinations that might help spark ideas for your creations.

Wheat and mums;

Oak leaves, acorns and pumpkins

cattails, acorns, sunflowers and maple leaves

grapes, mums, leaves

ducks in a pond w/multi colored leaves around the water's edge

Haystacks:  ice cream cones covered in dark yellow or tan icing using leaf tip OR small star tip

Cattails:  toothpicks w/the top 1/4 covered w/ tiny dots of dark brown icing

Acorns:  pipe an open circle about the size of a dime or nickle  w/very small star tip (13?) in dark brown.  In the center pipe a elongated, pointed dot of icing (tip 3 or 4) in a light tan and/or green & brown marbled so it fills the hole.

If you have an airbrush and some wafer paper

You can make beautiful, almost natural looking leaves. Trace real leaves or pictures you find on the internet. Lightly airbrush a sheet yellow,  orange, red, and green, letting the colors spread over the on next to it.  The wafer paper will wrinkle & roll some.  Cut into leaf shapes w/exacto knife or scissors.
