I have recently made the transition from home baker to owning my own store front. We have a daily selection of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, etc. however, i also have between 10-20 custom cake orders a week. I am needing something to help track all of my orders and prefer to be able to print them so i have a paper copy and copy on the computer. i also need the usual of keeping track of inventory, cake prices (so other emplyees can give estimates for cakes), taxes, etc. I have been looking at the Cake Boss Software but i does seem a little dated. Is there a better alternatiive or can someone tell me if it is a good software for keeping up with orders, customer info, tax information, inventory, etc.
