I'm doing a 3 layer wedding cake in buttercream. 2 of the layers are styrofoam - can I frost and decorate the fake layers 10 days in advance and then frost and decorate the actual cake layer 2 days before the wedding? Will the frostings match or will the layers done in advance be noticably different?

They'll probably look different...If you have time you can decorate one in advance to experiment, but I'd do it all as close together as possible to minimize any color or texture changes as the icing on the dummies dries out.
