please can anyone help i'm icing a cake for my brothers wedding 4 tier, 3 fruit cakes and one biscuit... please can anyone tell me how early i can stack them... i was hoping to stack them on the tuesday night? the wedding is on the friday and i work full time so i'm hoping to stack them tuesday night and then finish decorating wednesday night is that to early? will the icing crack with the weight of the cakes? flushed.png thanks

Yes, you should be able to stack early.   With proper support there should be no problems w/icing cracking as the weight of thecakes will be supported by the support system.

I have never worked with fruit cakes but certainly that should work just fine.  You don't say what size the cakes are but use about 1 for ecvery 2 or 3" of cake.  In other words in a 10" cake use 4 or 5.
