Hello all! I'm more of a cake decorator,  but agreed to make some decorated sugar cookies for a friend. I used the NFSC recipe (love!) and the powdered sugar, milk & corn syrup recipe.

They turned out nice and shiny, but when I went to package them, the icing stuck to the plastic bags. It was dry to the touch, so I thought it would be okay :-( Luckily, only 2 were ruined.

I'm guessing they need more dry time, but how do I let the icing dry without the cookies drying out?

Thanks in advance!

The cookie won't dry out. The icing seals the top and whatever the cookie is drying on, like a cookie sheet basically seals the bottom. It gets humid where I live and have let my cookies dry for 4 days and they were perfect.
