I need to make a circus tent for my son's birthday cake.  I have seen several cute circus cakes on CC.  Can someone tell me how I would make the top of the circus tent?  Is it carved cake or is there an easier way?  Thanks!

I did the top out of RKT. Was quite easy. But you could use cake if you wanted to...

rice crispy treats! I did it and it worked perfect. Covered it in thicker fondant to mask the bumps.
