 I need to use the colour burgundy for a football strip cake what do I use to get the colour

There is "burgundy" food coloring from AmeriColor. Can you get hold of it?

Wilton also makes a burgundy color.  Just a note if you use this - when first mixed it's an awful shade of weird mediumish pink. It does darken and settle with time, tho.  The first time I used it I wasn't prepared for the color I saw, so I started adding red and black.   I think burgundy is one of those colors you just have to play with to get the shade you want.

Burgundy is essentially a form of purple, but leans heavier to red. So, I'd work with red, with a touch of blue and black
