Does anyone have a Apple Cake recipe that is just apple and not a spice cake with apple added?

no but my mother-in-law made thee best apple cake ever the skin on top was like luscious creamy but also crispy melt in your mouth appley leather -- need to see if my sis-in-law has a copy...but it did have spices in it

dutch apple cakes are the bombshabomb -- it's google-able -- i got hooked on those in recent years -- really good --

I have a fabulous one, but it's not really good for decorating and it's very heavy.

Fresh Apple Cake

Mix:

3 cups flour            2 cups sugar

1 1/2 tsp. soda        1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. salt

Add:

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil    6 grated apples

3 eggs                                    2 tsp. vanilla

Bake in a bundt pan at 350 for 1 hour (pan will be full but it doesn't rise much).  It will turn dark brown, but it's wonderful!  I usually just sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top before serving since it doesn't need frosting.
