Hi! I am doing an 8 inch 3inch deep square (no filling) cake this weekend for a one year old. I made an edible image of the hugs and stitches first birthday napkin. The decoration will be very simple. How much would you charge for this cake???? Thanks!!!!

I would charge at least $30.00 dollars.Keep in mind it is a 3 inch cake which is usually only for wedding cakes and the edible image itself is worth around $5.00 or more!!!
I agree with Kiddiecakes! $30 seems just about right for a cake of that size.
Out of curiosity, did they request a 3 inch deep cake? If so, your customer is probably expecting to pay at least $30 for it. Like Kiddiecakes said, that deep pan is usually reserved for wedding cakes and such.

Thanks kthomas! She did not specifically request it...but they are having a large party. I am also doing a hello kitty cake for her other daughter. I just love the look of the three inch deep pan. It has a thick look to it without having to add a filling if you do not want to.

$30 sounds good to me too Traci~ I also like the 3" pans looks. That's usually what I use. That's a cute theme too. I still haven't made a baby shower cake OR 1 year old bday cake yet!! I want to make one sooo bad!!! Hopefully soon!!
