I don't know what it is lately, but everyone that orders a cake from me lately has some sort of unusual request. Not really off the wall orders, but just cakes with unusual twists. I just received a cake order for Thursday...its for a school function for little kids and the teachers. She wants me to put 3 faces on the cake of different races. I didn't want to just stick the faces on the cake with a border. The theme is something along the lines of loving who you are. I'm trying to picture how I'm going to do this and I'm drawing a blank. Does anyone have any ideas?

Go to the Girl Scout web site. They have a T-shirt with kids of different races. Very cute. Might give you some ideas.

Could you do stick figures around the side of the cake with different faces and the figures seeming to hold hands? I t would take more than 3 faces, but might work.... Or maybe just three figures on the top of the cake?

Bulldog thanks for the idea..I'll check out the website. I would've never thought of that

itsacake: I like the idea with the figures holding hands around the cake.

When she said three faces I'm not sure if she meant she wants the three races incorporated in the cake or if she actually wanted the faces on the cake. Maybe I should double check.

There's also the fondant cutters for making little people.

Haha, this is what came to mind with me too!
Sounds like a great idea for a cake, no matter how you do it though!

I have stationary in my classroom that has little kids of all "flavors" across the top. Some have disabilities for example one kid is in a wheelchair. It says all kids are special underneath.
It is done by this one artisit she draws the cutest little kids and I can't remeber her name for the life of me. I'm still looking

This is a cute idea I saw on The Cake Corner website. It has more than 3 figures but you could make adjustments. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Thank you everyone who replied to my post...I appreciate the help.

Esther: Thank you for taking the time to look for the cake...I'd love to see the picture when you find it

jennjd:I love those shirts...I think thats along the lines of what I was looking for. thank you

dsoutherngirl: I would love to do that cake...it looks like alot of fun, but I don't think she wants to spend as much as that cake would cost. The funny thing is that I just changed the name of my shop to The Cake Corner...I even have my font for my cards and brochures the same as the one on the website(not on purpose!)Good thing they are in a different state icon_smile.gif
