I bought some snowflake punch cutters online. Hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about. I've tried using them and they just don't cut cleanly. Any tips on how to get them to work? Maybe my fondant is too sticky or I should use gumpaste instead? The cake is due next weekend...help!!

I always let the fondant air dry a little before using cutters. Also, sometimes I grease cutters with a little shortening to prevent sticking.

Agreed, and after doing this, pick up the cutter with the fondant in it, and run your fingers or thumb over all of the edges.  That cleans the cut edges a bit and helps it to pop the fondant out.  I've had to use a toothpick to clean out the fondant that gets stuck on the outside of the cutter in those little crevices.

I let the fondant set for a bit and then dust it, and the cutter with corn starch
