Good morning :)

Am new here, wanted to ask you all about cookie stencils

can I use normal plastic to make the stencils or it should only be "food grade plastic" and why?

I will cut mine in a lazer cutting machine in the shop hence I don't own a cutting machine

Thank u in advance

if you can get food grade plastic why not use it -- but i don't think it matters that much so long as they are nice & clean & not made out of lead or something toxic -- a lot of people use tools from the hardware store for caking -- you just gotta use your head with it -- i'm sure i have some normal plastic stencils -- not especially food safe --

for example why use a putty knife to smooth your icing if you can get a dough cutter that you know is food safe where the putty knife might be made with mystery metals y'know?
