Has anyone used this product? Do you know if it is made by Americolor? Do you know if the dark colors change the taste of buttercream?

I bought some a couple of weeks ago. White, red, and black. The black was really liquid like compared to the red. The white had completely separated in the bottle. The red was fine. The black still worked fine, but I would prefer the Americolor

They didn't change the taste of the icing. I did royal icing and buttercream.

Well I used the purple to get a dark purple buttercream and it did not change the taste. It did take a huge amount of color however.

When I first started coloring my buttercream, I would use almost the whole bottle. I found it better to make the icing a day or two ahead, add a little color, and then just let it develop and darken on its own. I may have to add a drop or two extra, but I'm not using nearly as much color as I was before.
