My friend wants me to make a chocolate fudge cake. But he wants it to be really rich chocolate fudge cake with sort of gooey icing. Like bruce bogtrotter cake from matilda. Don't want it to be gooey like a brownie, more cakey but with a gooeyness too it, maybe that comes from the icing. I have no idea where to start, there are so many recipes out there. I need a scratch recipe as i am in the uk and it is not always so easy to get hold of cake mixes. Also i have sour cream if that is of any use, and double cream for a ganache.

Anyone have any recipes. something thatis maybe this sort of texture
