I always bake Christmas cookies in November, so I can always have them on hand in December.  This Christmas I want to decorate my sugar cookies with candy clay.  I have used this before on sugar cookies with great success.  If I make the cookies now I will need to freeze them  so they are fresh.  My question is will I ruin my cookie if I decorate with the candy clay now and freeze it?  Also, if I mix fondant into the candy clay will that help keep it freezer safe?  any suggestion would be helpful thank you

It should be fine to freeze them with the candy clay on them. You don't need to add fondant, I don't think it would make a difference.
