How Can I Substitute Eggs In A Cake Mix?
Decorating By miranda420 Updated 26 Oct 2014 , 9:26pm by -K8memphis
I was asked to make a cake for a little girls 1st birthday without using eggs due to allergies. I have never had to replace eggs before so want to make sure I find an easy substitution. I usually just use a Betty Crocker cake mix. The mom of the little girl said to use sour cream. Well if mix calls for 3 eggs how much sour cream would I need to use? Any other substitutions please let me know. Thank you for all you help!!
AI have used one can of soda, you can use diet or regular for 3 eggs hope this helps.
Hi Miranda, welcome to CakeCentral. I don't use cake mixes, but I do use Ener-G, an egg replacer. It works well so you might want to try it.
And you probably don't know since you are new here, but we only ask a question once, in whichever forum we think is most appropriate. Most members scan all forums to view questions. I use this link when I log on.
