How Do You Attach Plastic Cake Toppers?
Decorating By MichellePonce Updated 21 Oct 2014 , 6:47pm by MichellePonce
I can not find info about this. The plastic cake toppers with the little flat peices on their feet attachment to a cake. I want to make sure it is really secure and wont fall. I put a border of buttercream around it but it wasnt stable. Are you supposed to put a blob of royal icing underneath it? Please help!!
Thank you!!
A good blob of b'cream should do the trick. OR maybe even better is melted choco. Once it has had time to dry (overnight?) it should stay.
You could make a 'stand' out of fondant or gp to anchor the figure to before putting on the cake, then the stand could be covered w/icing to help make it more secure.
AThat's a good idea about the stand out of fondant. I put buttercream on it and she kept falling.
