I want to make a picture frame out of fondant -- probably about 5x7.

Does anyone have any advice on what recipe I should use to make it?

Straight MMF? or homemade Wilton recipe? (I'm really good at making this one, but I've never added anything to it to make it firmer.)

Fondant with some gumtex added?

I don't know how much or what exactly to add to make it firmer or if I'd even need to for this project.

Thanks a bunch!

Sarah

I really dont have a recipe but yes, adding gumtex will make it firmer. Will it be cake underneath or totally just fondant?

Iuld def add gumtex to firm it up. I prefer to use 5mls on 100-150g of fondant.

It will be cake underneath. It's going on an 11x15 sheet. Does it matter if there's cake underneath?

How much gumtex do I add?

Thanks, I'll give this a try!

Will this make the frame incredibly hard to cut or will it make it just a little firmer??

Thanks, Sarah

I'll give it a try and see how it comes out. I think they could handle removing it themselves as I won't be at the party.

Thanks! Sarah
