I'm interested in the personality types of you all, and also to see if there is any particular personaly type that is attracted to cake decorating.
I am using the Myers Briggs test.
To start things off, I am an INFJ. This is the 'Idealist' temperament. INFJ stands for 'Introvert - iNtuitive - Feeling - Judging.

To see what this means:

To find your personality type, do the test at
http://www.personalitytest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl
then let us know what you are!

INFP here icon_wink.gif

Introverts are outnumbered by extraverts by about three to one in America. Extraverts are often rewarded in school, by participating in class discussions, and at work, because they are popular and outgoing. Introverts, on the other hand, are often undervalued because they keep their best to themselves.

iNtuitives see the forest; sensors see the trees. When working with sensors or iNtuitives, it is important to remember these differences. Sensors prefer to learn through sequential facts; iNtuitives through random leaps. The task- "Please sort through these surveys" - means something entirely different to sensors and iNtuitives.

Feelers avoid conflict; and will overextend themselves to accommodate the needs of others. Feelers will always "put themselves in somebody else's shoes" and ask how people will be affected before making a decision.

Perceivers, on the other hand, rely on creativity, spontaneity, and responsiveness, rather than a plan or list, to get them through the day. They burn the midnight oil to meet deadlines, although they usually meet them. Perceivers like to turn work into play, because if a task is not fun, they reason, it is probably not worth doing.

Introvert, iNtuitive, Feeler, Judger....

I think I knew most of what it said about me, but not sure about the judger part. I don't normally judge people, so not sure how I feel about the J part of it!

Monica, I don't think there is anything wrong with be extroverted.

My personality type is : INFP Introvert, Intuition, Feeling, Perceiving

INFP: "Questor". These people are idealistic, self-sacrificing, and somewhat cool or reserved. They are very family and home oriented, but don't relax well. High capacity for caring. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 1% of the total population.

Wow this is very interesting, and scarily accurate icon_confused.gif

I am an ISFJ. I took that a few years ago for work, I wish I could remember what I was back then to see if anything has changed. I was very high I and S but my F was almost right in the middle.

Interesting.

Hey, neenee30, pinknlee, same as me, I see a lot of INFJs.
I have done other personality tests but I think this one was most accurate in its diagnosis because it didn't say things in a general way that could apply to everyone (such as "You don't like too much conflict").

I predict a lot of Introverts like cake decorating because it does involve a lot of time on one's own, planning the cake, decorating. By the way introvert in the sense of this test doesn't mean navel gazers, but I interpret it as people who don't feel energised by extended (real life) social interaction. Now, online social interaction is another story altogether!

I was a ESFJ
Extrovert, Sensation, Thinking, Judging...

I had to look a few of the words in the questions up in the dictionary... had no idea what they meant! icon_smile.gif

I was only 17% in judging so that's not too bad thumbs_up.gif

Monica.. I think your an extrovert too... (there I go... worrying about others feelings icon_wink.gif ) icon_lol.gif

That was a long test! But interesting!

I was INFP Which was kind of surprising icon_confused.gif But I had several ?? that I could have easily answered either way. Early in life I was very introverted. And as I grew up became more extroverted. And most tests I do show me as extroverted. But the rest is pretty much to a T. So this was a very interesting test thumbs_up.gif

I'm not too sold on the J part because the total score was 52% on the judging side. But I think the description was really who I am.

I'm an XFSJ. I am split right down the middle of extravert and introvert. I love to socialize, but am very shy and not usually first to talk. Most of my scores were right down the middle. I'll have to make my hubby take the test!!
