Hello onebaker,

After you spread SugarVeil, it will set (firm up) so you can remove it from the Confectioners' Mat or parchment and place in an airtight container - just catch it a bit sooner next time to remove it from the mat. To set within minutes, oven setting is the easiest method for you to set SugarVeil - here are the instructions: http://www.facebook.com/notes/sugarveil-icing/oven-setting-sugarveil-instructions-for-use-with-sugarveil-confectioners-mats/589689461074977. Once removed from the mat, you can dry the individual decorations completely and store them in their 'dry' form (the SugarVeil decorations will last indefinitely). When ready to use, just remoisten with water to restore flexibility, like this:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152095286904893.1073741851.58910664892&type=1.
