AHi all,

I am looking to change up my gumpaste recipe to something more workable....right now I am just using tylose and icing sugar.

The problem is, I am highly allergic to egg, and I can't come into skin contact with it. I normally use gloves for other baking tasks, but I like to feel the paste when I am working with it.

Most of the other recipes I've seen involve egg whites...does anyone have an alternative recipe, or point me to one?

Thanks! Heather

Wilton gumpaste doesn't have eggs in it.  I've never made gumpaste from scratch, but you can always take your fondant and add tylose to it--most of the time that's what I do for my egg-free customers.
