Wheat Flour Cake Recipe For Diabetics

ADoes anyone have a cake recipe that uses wheat flour for diabetics. I have a niece that has diabetes and I want to make a cake n frosting that she can actually eat.
If she's diabetic, then wheat flour might not work (depends on how diabetic she is). You'll need a low-carb cake, not just low sugar. Try using a different type of flour, like a nut flour. Nut flours are usually a lot drier than wheat flours so they can't be evenly substituted for regular flour. I've only made flour-less cookies with a combination of almond and coconut flour.
Here's a thread where writer_mom gave some helpful links:

Here's a few recipes that I found that might help:

This site is from an Atkins thread about birthday cakes, here's the 3-min chocolate cake recipe:

Good luck and I'm sure someone on here has a tried and true recipe. :)
Yellow pea flour is another option
