AI understand with this system there is no way to insert a center dowel that holds all the tiers together and keeps them from sliding. I'm doing a 3 tier cake. I'm not worried about the bottom 2 tiers since the dowels of the SPS will be inserted through them and locked in place, but I'm concerned about the topmost tier. I'm wondering if that little point that sticks up on the plate will be enough to keep it from sliding. It will have to be transported to the venue and assembling on site will not be possible. Any words of advice will be appreciated!

AI use SPS for all of my tiered cakes. I have delivered fully assembled 4 tiered cakes with it. So far I have not had any problems with the top tier slipping. Just make sure the cake board is securely attached to the plate. I use glue dots or double sided tape.

Hope this helps.
