Whenever I try to make roses they always droop and the petals get pulled down by the next row. I use the Wilton decorator icing so it shouldn't be too thin. Does anyone know how to fix this.

It sounds like your icing is too soft. try beating it more, or beating in a little more sifted powdered sugar to stiffen it up a bit.

I've had the same problem. Then, I put in more powdered sugar to make it more stiff, and what I get are broken petal edges. Rats!

The last time I made roses, I made a MUCH bigger base than I had been making. The Wilton directions have you make a littke cone of icing for the base. Instead, I made a bigger platform - pretty much as big as I want the base of the rose to be. THEN, I put a small cone on top of that base. The extra icing underneath the cone seemed to help support the petals as they were piped. I've only tried this once, so I don't know if it is THE solution for me, but it did help.
