Need some ideas here. A client wants an ombre rosette cake for her three daughters birthdays and she wants it to say happy birthday and all three names. I really don't think the design lends to that. I suggested not covering the whole top in roses to leave room for the names but she does not want that. She suggested making hearts out of fondant to put their names on and putting them at the bottom??
Ok, so I am at a loss here! Does anyone have good ideas?
You can make all kinds of 'plaques' to put the names on. They can be edible or not. Use fondant or gumpaste or royal or wafer paper or cookies or even ribbon or paper. Stand it up on the top or side of the cake so it does not detract from the design. Or You can write on the cake board.
