So i need to make an eggless vanilla cake and cover it with fondant.
All the recipies i tried are too soft and won't take the weight of the fondant! i need a tried and tested hard vanilla cake recipe. also i was thinking what if i just bought cake mix which was eggless and used that?

AThere are a lot of people that use a boxed mix and a can of soda. That's it, nothing extra. The texture is a little chewy and I'm not a huge fan of the taste but it should work in a pinch

AThanks. Used the bix mix, no soda, just oil and milk. Turned out okay, cant taste it so dont know about that, it smells and feels fine and springy.
