I have been a cake decorator for 14yrs now and I left my job to try and start my own business catering at first. I guess my question is where can I get buttercream and or better cream for cakes?

I make my own buttercream with a lot of powdered sugar, a few cups of butter, a few tsp. of vanilla & sometimes a dash of heavy cream.

Finding a good homemade recipe is way better than store bought.

Bettercream is available through distributors, like Restaurant Depot.

I make my own buttercream as well, it's so good.  Try Sugarshack's recipe, I just love it!

Thank you for your responses. Bettercream was going to be my next question.

spelling:

buttercream, easily home-made

Bettercreme, product purchased frozen in (in my experience) cartons. OP, I don't know where you are, but in the Puget Sound area, it is found at Cash & Carry. Frostin' Pride is similar.
