Hey everyone,

I'm wanting to decorate cakes/cupcakes.

Today I bought icing bag and nozzles ect

I was wondering does anyone have just an average recipe for the type of icing that would hold like the star shapes or flower petals as decoration on the cake.

I have NO idea how to make this lol

AType buttercream icing into the search box, click recipes. There will be several. I like the directions from savorysweetlifes recipe. http://savorysweetlife.com/2010/03/buttercream-frosting/. She explains how to get the correct stiffness you need. And it tastes great. But you should decide what type of decorations you are planning, different piping techniques take different icing consistencies.
