What if you want to mix the raspberry with chocolate BC? Has anyone tried this. I am making a chocolate cake with chocolate BC and thought I might mixing in the raspberry preserves. Has anyone tried this?

that sounds delicious! i mixed peach preserves with bc for this spice cake that i had made and it was absolutely de-lursh (my grandma's word icon_biggrin.gif )

are you still able to smooth if after adding preserves? do you mix it with a blender? it sound delursh!

the preserves, i would put through the blender for a short time then either mix it with the bc or lay it on top of the bc...i think someone else on this site had mixed strawberry jam with the bc....

I've only tried with chocolate ganache, but it sounds good.

Just make sure you get the preserves to a liquid form, so it blends easily. I would use a mixer.

Let us know how it comes out.

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. Also, would it need to be refrigerated afterward?

I have mixed raspberries into my BC and it tastes delicious. I would use it for a filling though. I didn't try seedless preserves, so that might be good for a frosting.
