Hi everybody.

This might be a silly question but I really want to know what hardened fondant can be used for …other than tossing it in the bin as most recommend. It just seems like such a waste.

Any bright ideas?

Can you microwave hardened fondant to see if it will soften?  I've never tried it.

AI microwave it for a very few seconds at a time until I can start kneading it.

Yes, it can be MW'ed but it will harden up very quickly so you have to work quickly to shape/use it.

When I have to make a fondant cake, I make just as much fondant as I need. With practice,  you will be able to calculate approximately how much fondant you will need, and you will have a little remain.
