I have a LOT of regular American buttercream made and need a little bit of chocolate buttercream.  Does anyone know of a way to add chocolate to the buttercream to make it chocolate?  Can I just add cocoa to it and beat?

TIA

Brenda

I've done it a few times. It tasted great to me. I just sift the cocoa first. And you might have to add a tiny bit of milk of course. Yum yum! :)

Or add some chocolate syrup, like what you put on ice cream.
