AHi! After a couple of months of planning, a few £s spent on utensils (love it!) and silly questions on this forum, thanks for answering them btw, I have finally done my sons cake :) Picture attached I hope, I know it's not perfect, but if anyone has any comments I'd really appreciate some tips for the next time. I love love love doing this :)
AThank you! Cake is chocolate, then covered in vanilla buttercream and fondant. Lightning McQueen is made out of Rice Krispie cakes and fondant. Playdoh for adults, so much fun! A few things are bugging me, like an annoying pock hole in the white icing and the edges aren't neat, but hoping nobody will notice. Think it may be a bit toooo sweet. Never mind! X
We are always our worst critics. I can spot every single flaw on my cakes that no one else notices. Over the years I've learned not to point them out to others. I use it as motivation to make my next cake better. You did a great job. Very cute cake. Your son is going to love it.
AAw thats a reallt nice cake! Im new to decorating myself and I still havent got the courage to make the cake toppers so I use toys!
