Hi all, I was searching for french billowing tutorials on You Tube and found this one, it's okay just to give you an idea of how to do it.

While searching I ran across this  Montreal Confection Channel.  She has some great techniques for decorating cookies that I have never seen before and other fondant tutorials.

Enjoy!

Found a few unique and unusual tutorials today, the first one gives you tips on how to make a moist cake every time.  I have heard this method brought up on CC before, I think I'm going to try it and see.

This one shows you how to make unique roses without cutters.

An unusual wedding cake with sunflowers.

And last but not least an unusual cat named Maru.  I love cats, I could watch them for hours.  I'm waiting for my two to be born, I get first pick, Yay!

Hi CC, I was surfing and saw this and thought it was so inspirational.

Then was sidetracked by these DBC recipes, YUM!!!

I saw a beautiful rainbow cake in the gallery this morning which reminded me of a cake done by Gretchen Price on her new blog "how to make a rainbow cake".

Go ahead, taste the rainbow.

Love you Gretchen!!!

I was looking through my cake decorating books and was just as fascinated with them as when I first bought them.

These are some of the cake designers I admire and love for their hard work and dedication.

TBA Garret "The Well Decorated Cake" and "Professional Cake Decorating", her  pipework is ingenious.

Margaret Braun, for her imaginative style and one of a kind creations.

Peggy Porschen, for her creative simplicity in "Beautiful Cakes"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqOaGyXkV1k&feature=share&list=PL2C62A5E7F33F24BF

The queen of wedding cakes, Sylvia Weinstock, for her beautiful cakes and candid personality.

There are some many wonderful cake designers at the top of their game that I'm in awe of, these are only a few of my favorites.

When I am working hard, I swear that I am going to quit because my wrists hurt,  my feet are killing me, and my left knee has a mind of it's own.

It is nice to relax and kick back sometimes with one of my cake decorating books to remember what I am doing all this for.

To all the cake designers out there still doing grunt work and aspiring to be one of the great ones, this ones for you.  Keep slicing, stacking, and spinning! thumbs_up.gif

Some crazy kids call this making a cake.  All I could is watch in silence and say a prayer for the people that had to deal with them after they ate it.......

icon_eek.gif Oh wow. I guess in the grand scheme of things I'd rather see a bunch of young people having fun this way than the host of other mischiefs they could be up to. I just hope they don't eat that monstrosity often. Talk about clogged arteries.

Was going through the videos and found this GINORMOUS wedding cake this lady made for herself. If I ever made a cake like that for my wedding I would NEVER divorce. icon_lol.gif All that hard work would never EVER go to waste.
