LOL! This sounds like a conversation I had with my sister - We don't go down that road anymore but she affectionately calls me the family heathen - I like it!

 "pants on women are immodest"

Pants are proof that women have two legs, which leads to speculation about what lies at the top of those two legs, which leads to men having impure thoughts.  And those impure thoughts are always the fault of the woman who is being thought about in that way, and never the fault of the man who is doing the thinking.  Women in pants are actually abusing their innate power over poor helpless men.

Ditto arms, elbows, wrists, ankles, and in some faiths hair, lips, and noses, and even eyes.

Why don't you just De-Friend her?   I have De-Friended over half my family.  Life is too short to have someone in your life that gets you that upset.   There is nothing that says you have to be her friend on FB.

I do know of one who sold a best selling book, and pays for every bit of his church out of his own pocket. Owns the building, and everything. He never touches a donation, it all goes to various charities. He has a mansion and jet and cars. I don't begrudge him a penny of it. He is generous to a fault, as well. I also don't begrudge Stephen King or Anne Rice, or Kathy Reichs  their riches...

....Don't get me started on MR. GLOBAL WARMING HIMSELF, Al Gore, with his 10,000 sq' house, villa and multiple cars and jet. If he is so damned concerned about the environment, he needs to ride a bike, with a mask a on, so I don't have to see his face plastered all over the news. He makes crazy money scaring people to death about the environment, then spends it all on himself. He he practiced what he preached, he would have bought the houses, sold the furnishings, bulldozed them, burned the remains, and planted a rain forest in their ashes. Then bought more rain forest with the proceeds.

UG! I am sorry about your pictures. I hated mine, because they were just terrible, and I wasted my money. The ones that my mom's friend got with my digital camera were better, and it was just a little point and shoot.

I agree, just de friend her! That should not be too hard, click the button and you're done.ouch.gif  Say, most of born again Christians go to this phase of holier than thou attitude, but then harsh realities of life hits them between the eyes, and for those who donot have the real convections, revert back to the good old life, and then start flinging " feces"  to anyone, who does not share what they thought they believe, to cover their guilt. There's a 'church' in a village near me, well I say church, but it's really a mansion that some millionaire owns, but decided to call a church so he wouldn't have to pay property taxes. A friend of mine was on the legal team trying to prove the guy was lying, it was interesting.

I will say it is hard to be a Christian, you are watched more closely, so you can be caught messing up, and when you do, (as none of us are perfect) it is thrown in your face, "And YOU call YOURSELF a CHRISTIAN!"

I will say I have never had any sort of attitude, though...my whole attitude is either amusement or polite boredom. And I don't participate, or I leave. I feel no need to preach, or say people are all going to hell.

hahahaha! I don't blame him! Taxes are outrageous, and they wouldn't have to be is politicians would stop spending our hard earned money. We had a budget surplus in Florence, KY when I lived there, so the mayor decides to order a $57,000 medallion in the middle or an intersection, had to rearrange the street for $2 million and pay $13,000 to get it put in there. It can only be seen from the sky, and is covered in oil and tar.

I tried to open a store front there. I had health department approval on the space, but the City wanted a "change of use" form, $35 to fill it out, $200 to submit it, and and other $65 IF it was approved. Then the regulation for a sign, they MAKE you have one, then charge $35 for the form to get permission, $1000 for the permit, and then regulate WHO puts it up and what sort it should be, and the minimum is $2000.

The same village just announced they are eliminating a teaching position in my kids school next year in order to reduce costs, but also will be letting all the kids ride the bus for free, because they've got a surplus in the transportation fund, but it cannot be reallocated. Yeah I don't get it either.

And their local park has had the pool closed for the last three years because the locals won't vote for the expense it will take to fix it. But their golf course is still heavily subsidized so that they can all get their 18 holes in.

I couldn't care less, Jason. I really couldn't. It is his personal choice, and he still spent nearly $9 on it. He could have bought quite a bit of rain forest for that $$$$$$$ He is a hypocrite, and a charlatan. I realize he is the god of enviromentalist whack-jobs, but if you pursue this, I will find your address and send the Jehovah's Witnesses, and such!

And I don't litter, use curlyque light bulbs, recycle, re-use, and turn off lights, buy sustainable, combine trips and such. I just despise AL GORE!

Jason, I'm really interested to hear the reason you're 100% sure hell doesn't exist. I have some views which I'm pretty sure are right, but I couldn't claim to be 100% sure that they're right. I don't think anyone can claim that.

You are absolutely right, the 100% figure is more for the benefit of the evangelist who is 100% sure his beliefs are correct. Of course anything is possible, but given my belief that we should make the most of our current life since our consciousness will not continue after death, whether or not hell actually exists is irrelevant.

I don't go to church so I'm the family heathen too!

And when I had part of my house remodeled, one of the construction workers tried to convince me to be born again.

No. And what does that have to do with what color paint I have on the walls of the bathroom?

Have I not heard someone say, that hell is real, and it exists now, you see  hell can happen to everyone, anytime. I just got out of one, for years I was a prisoner of my own demons and hell, a slow burn that hurts and because you are alive, you can feel it! But what does it matter when one is DEAD? You won't feel, think, burn,or agonize, you are DEAD!ouch.gif
