I am planning on making my middle girl;s birthday cake later on this month.  Her favorite toy now is Barbie princess and the popstar.  My idea was to make two princess doll cakes.  One with a pink dress and one with a purple dress.  I would like to use fondant but I am hesitant about the taste for the kids and I am scared to make my own because I am a novice.  Any advice on how to make package fondant taste better or which kind taste better?  Thanks in advance

AHi there! Making fondant isn't hard:smhard if you can bake a cake, chances are you can make fondant. There are several great recipes on this site. I have made both marshmallow fondant and michelle foster's. I prefer Michelle foster's. If you decide not to make it, Satin Ice works well and tastes good. Good luck with your cakes!
