Help! Frida Kahlo And Fbct Question
Decorating By tobycat Updated 24 Jan 2007 , 4:34pm by fearlessbaker
I have an order for a cake with a Mexican theme. If at all possible, she wants Frida Kahlo!!!! Okay, so I have a couple of questions.
1. How do you do an FBCT of an actual person??? Should I even attempt this with Frida Kahlo? (For thos of you who may not know her, she's the artist who had the unibrow and was married to Diego Rivera.)
2. I only do cakes occasionally, so would it be okay to use an image (either of Frida herself or of one of her paintings) to use as an edible image?
I'm already starting to stress about this, so ANY advice or guidance would be much appreciated!
TIA -- Sarah
That is the randomest request ever.
Can you use one of her self-portraits as a pattern?
I agree -- it's pretty random! I've just found images of both on line, and I agree that one of her self-portraits would be easier to do, but I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought. I've never done a face before. Would I approach it the same way as a clip art FBCT?
Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.
TIA -- Sarah
Is it possible to do in one of the edible sheets? If you don't have the printer maybe your local cake dec. store does? If you go to www.justfabulouspastries.com It looks like they use edible images. Just a thought.
