Anytime I've added fruit to a cake alot of the fruit floats to the top. How do you prevent that and have the fruit be through out the cake?
Try coating the fruit with flour or cake mix before adding to the batter. For example, toss blueberries in a ziplock bag with some flour and then add them to the batter (fold in gently not to bust the berries). HTH!
