hi i saw jeac using one on his show a year or so ago(chocolate with jeac torres on food network). i seem to remember that he had a ramp that hooked to the base of his KA and attached the drum to the attachment area on the front. i really wanted to get one as im doing candiea for christmas presents this year. if you know what im talking about or where i can find one please let me know. tia
You might want to check on kitchen aid's website...if they make an attachment for it, or rather - make a drum that is an attachment for the kitchen aid mixer - you should be able to find it there & find out exactly what they call it and the model #, price or some other sort of info on it. Then you could look around ebay, stores, etc. and price-shop it. ![]()
thanks for the help but i cant find it even on the sites that ya'll suggested
i did email chocolate w/jeauc(SP) to see if they would know where a regular person could get one like he had on his show,......we'll see if i get an answer... any way beryls is GREAT its on my toolbar already...thanks for the ideas again
I saw the same show, and managed to find a source link on the foodnetwork site. However, I was shocked to see it was $300-$400. It worked on the larger KA mixer, but it is not manufactured by KA.
If you really want to spend $300, you may still be able to find the link on the FN site.

Again, Beryl's carries this attachment. It is not made by KitchenAid, but made to FIT a KA mixer. It is called a candy coating machine and it costs $495.
It is shown on the page where she has Dragees. Here is the link:
